Wow! 20 grams is really low, I would think at the minium 40-50 grams. If your carbs are too low your system will work overtime turning protein into carb's (Glycogen). What could also happen is your system could begin to tear lean muscle down and turn it into carb's.

You're right, I am going to try 40-50 for a week or two and see how I feel, maybe even up to 100. What are you at Effie, you are cutting right?

Default Ok, if you eat allot of Protein

Lower than 40 grams a day of carbs is great if you are getting large amounts of protein and it will help you shed fat.
A good low carb diet information site is here:Low Carb Diet

Do you cycle any carb days at all in to that? Maybe if you throw in a carb day and exit Ketosis for a day or two work out hard and then cut it back to under 20 grams again? My body does not handle carbs very well but my boyfriends does. People who don't have the problem don't understand that some people have to do it to get to the place that they want to be at.

I started doing carb cycling, 40 to 60 grams and 150 grams. Is this a good cycle? Amount of carb doen't affect me when I workout, it affect my craving. If I go 20 grams, I start craving carb really bad. I'm like you, kittykat. I don't do well with carb.
