Default Cheat days?

Hey girls, its been a long time since I posted up on here, but I have a question about something thats been plaguing me forever.

I'll be going along fine on a hardcore cutting diet for like a week to two weeks, and then my honey will want to go out and eat somewhere. So I think to myself, "Ok, we'll just make this a cheat day". Six hours later I look like I'm six months pregnant with a food baby- something like an entire plate of lasagna/tortollene, reese's pieces and a shake....

so I hit the gym with some weights and cardio before bedtime, but I still feel like I wrecked and I'll be making it up for the next week.

Does anyone here establish guidelines for cheat days or meals when they're cutting? Do you guys even DO cheat days, or should I grow a backbone and say NEVER while I'm trying to get my bf % down?

I'm not big on cheat days... way too easy to go overboard
but a cheat MEAL...oh yes... keeps your metabolism up,
and gives you a mental break from the riggors of dieting.
Definitely try to control your portions.
A slice of lasagna instead of a whole plate full.
A SMALL handfull 10-15 reeses pieces, not a whole big bag full
A scoop of icecream, not a carton of ben and jerrys.

when cutting, my diet is tight mon-fri.
i have two cheat days, sat/sun.
i know for a lot of ppl that's too many, but it works for me.
i also found that when my diet changes, my body adapts and even my cheat days aren't so...um, cheaty. sorry, couldn't come up with a word.

in my exp, when cutting or on a solid diet, when u eat a heavy meal u'll feel super fat and the guilt kicks in. but don't forget ur body has already made adjustments so even peas might feel like watermelons in ur stomach.

I used to do cheat days once a week. 6 days out of the week I'd eat straight and clean but that one day I'd have whatever I wanted. Like you, I noticed I'd bloat and just feel gross. I set a personal challenge for myself not to have a cheat day until Thanksgiving; no drinking, nothing. I might have an indulgence, like a brownie once every 2-3 weeks but not every week.
