Default diet challenge

Ok, so here's the challenge. I'm hoping some of you on here can give me sample diet advice. The real challenge is this:
I'm allergic to all nuts and especially peanuts.
I'm allergic to MOST RAW fruits and vegetables (I can eat berries, lettuce, tomatoe and oranges raw, right now I can't think of anything else that I can).
I don't eat beef or fish.
I don't drink milk, though I do consume other dairy.
So you can probably see why I'm having such a hard time coming up with a diet for myself. Any advice, suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

What about steamed veggies?

Have you tried the protein powders yet....yes, it's a challenge since you don't eat beef or fish....what about chicken and turkey?

Salsa? Cottage cheese?

Eggs...how are they with you?

I love steamed veggies and I usually have them at supper time, I'm particularly fond of green beans, spinach, fiddleheads, stuff like that.

The protein powders have to wait until after I return from my trip to Toronto next week because all my money is allocated to that right now.

I like salsa. I can't say I've had much cottage cheese. I have to be careful with dairy (as I was reminded tonight) because I'm mildly lactose intollerant. Yes, that too! I'm usually ok if I only have one dairy type product in a day. Today I had a non-fat latte, then lasagna for supper, then ice cream later and that just wasn't the best idea.

Eggs, I tend to only eat hard boiled.

My biggest problem has always been snacks since I can't eat raw fruits like apples or raw veggies, or nuts... Now I snack on strawberries because they're in season and they're much better for me than say, chips.

Turkey and chicken are the only meat I eat and I tend to have chicken most days for dinner. I'm still eating only 3 meals or so a day and I know I need to change that because half the time I'm starving.

Hmm, yeah, you need about 6 meals/day. And strawberries are a "negative cal food".

Since turkey and chicken are your only meats, search for some cool recipes....I'll bring a thread over, if I remember, that has all kinds of recipes.

Hard boiled or poached is best anyway. Some cottage cheese mixed with eggs, in an omelette, say, is a great way to get lots of protein....I thought it would taste god-awful, but it's actually great!

What about oatmeal? Great on the low G.I. ...then when you get protein powder, throw in a scoop or 2.

There are also a lot of good protein bars...but that can be costly....and some ppl would suggest not eating them, but I like them for the high protein content, especially when you're in a pinch for time.

We'll get something figured out for ya!!

I had some oatmeal today and it was so blah. Is there anything I can put in to give it some flavour that won't be fattening? I like the idea of putting the protein powder into the oatmeal though. Somehow, the thought of putting it in my water really turns me off.

Pretty well every single protein bar I've checked up has a nut warning on it. How crazy is that? I found ONE in all the different protein bars, that didn't have a warning on it, and that one bar, was $5.

I've picked up a few vegetarian/vegan cookbooks because I enjoy that kind of food and I've seen some really nice recipes in there. I love beans and chickpeas (which are high in protein) so now I just need to find some good recipes using those and actually make them. Which reminds me, there's rice and bean salad in the fridge, hmmm...

For your oatmeal try some cinnamon in it and if you need to sweeten it add some spenda. It is pretty good that way and so is cottage cheese that way.

I was thinking of cinnamon after I'd posted that. I think I'll try that tomorrow.
