In my opinion, both are required to lose weight faster and effectively. If you only eat or do only exercises, its not gonna effect as much as it can by having a proper diet as well as exercise. Also, avoiding junk food plays an important role in weight loss.

As per I know with ordinary work out and well eating habits, you be capable of lose that weight. But keep in mind that it is not well to lose that much in such a diminutive period of era.
