Question cardio, how long?

Ok, I'm getting really confused. I read fitness magazines religiously but I'm really confused about my cardio routine.
I do weights one day, starting with a 15 minute cardio warm up, then I do cardio and abs next day. I had been doing 45 minutes of cardio, then abs, then I went to 30 minutes of cardio, then abs, so, which should I stick with? Am I fine with the 30 minutes or should I really be aiming for the 45 minutes? Or something else?

most of the research you will find will say atleast 45 mins is the most effective for fat burning..

I read somewhere it takes 30 mins to actually start burning fat effectively enough for weight loss...

Even if this is not accurate, 15 more minutes can only help you, not hurt you, so I would just go with the 45 mins

What do you think about HIIT - Hi Intensity Interval Training? I have been doing that for 7 months now - 20-30 min a session 3 times a week, and I have had some very good results?
Do you think that 45 min moderate intensity is to prefer for better fatloss?

I kind of figured, I'll stick with 45 minutes. I'm slowly working my way up to being able to jog without having an asthma attack. I'm getting there!

When I belonged to a gym as opposed to at home workouts, I did this and saw better results. Some ppl will swear by it, others won't touch it....it's what works for you. If you find better results with HIIT than ordinary cardio, stick with it....or switch back and forth.
