I believe my many years of sitting behind a desk are catching up with me...I've got the definite beginnings of saddlebags on my hips! Any tips--short of liposuction--that will help get rid of these??

First thing is diet. You cannot spot reduce, but any exercise gets better results when combined with a proper diet. There are several things that you could do to help build muscle: squats, lunges, leg press, step ups. Also, instead of sitting for hours on end, why not take short exercise breaks? For example, stand at your chair, lean over and do rear leg lifts. Not only does this work the muscles, it helps get your blood pumping and clears your head.

Try walking. That will slim your body down overall. Like Cheri said, "you can't spot reduce"

you definitely can't spot reduce. your diet will be the best thing you can do! walking (or any type of cardio) is definitely good, but just doing cardio/walking/crunches isn't going to get rid of the flab - eat good, lift weights, and do lots of crunches.. in combination they'll help ![]()
