Many people ask me time and time again which bodybuilding supplements they should be taking to help them reach their goals. After speaking with them, I realize often times that all the bodybuilding supplements in the world wouldn’t help because they are under the assumption that just by taking supplements, they will totally transform their bodies into huge, ripped, muscular ones. This is not going to happen. Many are even fooled into believing that. I personally use supplements and really like the effects I get from them. But supplements are exactly that, they are suppose to supplement your well-balanced diet and your hard work in the gym. They are not a substitute for them. In fact, if you do not train correctly or eat a well-balanced diet, supplements are a total waste of money. Supplements must be used correctly to be effective. You cannot be missing days here and there or cutting down the amount taken to make it last longer. Supplements must be taken on your off days from training just as well as when you are working out. It is on your off days that your body is recovering from strenuous workouts and needs the proper nutrition to support muscle growth. The correct supplements will assist you if you are unable to take in the nutrients that are required by your body that you normally get from ingesting whole food sources. Using the correct supplement will give you an edge in your fat loss and muscle building efforts. But they cannot be the quick cure! A proper diet and scheduled weight training program are a must.

| Very good point Effie!!! I also take supplements and love the effects from them, but I know that without proper diet, training and rest it is a waste of money.

Hi all, I'm new to this site and to getting healthy. I'm trying to loose weight (around 30lbs). I'm currently eating right and excercising every other day. I'm doing cardio and weights. I actually want to turn this fat into muscle! Any suggestions for supplements to burn fat/ build muscle. I also need something for energy b/c I feel like I just run out of steam when I'm trying to do cardio. Thanks!!! ![]()

I may be stupid or Nieve here but I just always thought that as long as you took multivitamins everyday that would give your body what it needed. I must be wrong.

Ys, they do work to a large extent. I had been taking lots of medications for my acidity and GERD problem but they did not help , also tried a lot of natural therapies and ultimately I was put on Nexium which finally did rid me of my problems. generic nexium serves the same purpose as the original and is as god as the branded one too.

I think supplements are very essential, but only in conjunction with all the other pieces of the puzzle. Diet for me is first, then getting in good work-outs, nutrition and the supplements I think just help your body utilize the food you eat properly to push you towards strenghth which make you look better everyday!

I would rather suggest rather going for short cuts as supplements go for proper meal and good work outs
