Default Green Tea

Many countries around the world drink green tea. Why?

What makes green tea so special with hundreds of teas out there? Well there are really only three tea families: Black, Green, Oolong. What makes them different is their level of oxidization The least oxidized and healthiest choice is green tea, Oolong is only partially oxidized, and Black tea is fully oxidized. The less processed the tea, the higher the level of antioxidants.

The main component of green tea is EGCG. This is the element in green tea that kills cancer cells. It actually forces the cells to commit suicide. Not only can EGCG kill some cancer cells, it can also prevent them from forming to begin with. Other amazing benifits of this tea are, it lowers blood cholesterol, controls blood pressure, terminates influenza virus, kills bacteria, and even prevents halitosis.

Added benefits include
Prevents aging
Promotes beautiful skin, hair, nails
Prevents cavities
Reduces stress
Strengthens blood vessels
Helps carbohydrate metabolism
Lowers blood sugar
Prevents influenza
Diuretic

Other important fact to know.
Decaffeinating tea reduces it's healing properties
Green tea extract is as potent as drinking green tea
Don't boil the tea – just add hot water to it and steep
Don't add milk! It negates the beneficial properties
Each cup of green tea contains 100-200mg of EGCG.

Green Tea is one of the most widely accepted beverage. This is used by the people for multiple uses. Though this would not taste good when you start with this, but once you get accustomed to it, this is the only one that you will opt for. Now the best thing is that you have plenty of benefits for the body too as it help to burn the fat and also helps to detox ourselves though on a very small level, but yes it does prove helpful for the body.

Today, scientific research in both Asia and the west is providing hard evidence for the health benefits long associated with drinking green tea. For example, in 1994 the Journal of the National Cancer Institute published the results of an epidemiological study indicating that drinking green tea reduced the risk of esophageal cancer in Chinese men and women by nearly sixty percent. University of Purdue researchers recently concluded that a compound in green tea inhibits the growth of cancer cells. There is also research indicating that drinking green tea lowers total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol.
